Members of the school’s Robot Club have joined with our Trust partner Abraham Darby Academy to battle it out in a series of Pi-Wars.

Pupils from Year 7 to the Sixth Form meet after school on Thursdays to create their robots using Raspberry Pi computers. Just before half term 14 boys travelled to ADA to battle it out in a series a challenges. 10 teams battled or raced their robots to build points and try out their robot designs.

The event also acted as a trial to pick the team that will go to represent the combined Haberdashers’ Adams’ Federation Trust at Pi-Wars National Challenge competition in April. The boys used the event to further develop their electronics skills, coding, design, testing/evaluating and team working. A great day was had by all.
